Just got back from watching Iron Man at the cinema.

So.Fucking.Awesome!

It was Rob's birthday today so going to see that was my present for him, but it wasn't as if it was a hardship for me. Loved, loved, loved all the suit action scenes- moments of pure *squee*, great dialogue and it was all pretty snappy. I have to admit that I fell in love with the way the Mk 2 suit was designed- the computer aided design was in itself incredibly well thought out, and I got that wierd excitement when you see something and you know that that really is The Future.

I think this is the first film that's been purely produced by Marvel- hopefully it bodes well for the filmic future of their properties. Of course I'm still ever hopefully of a big screen version of Morbius!

Tamsin- if you read this- tell Adi his suit designs were amazing. Rob was waxing lyrical about it after the film! Lovely work!

Hello :D Man, I'm so glad to hear you liked it! The film has been getting really good reviews and the response has been so positive so far :)

Yeup, it's the first proper Marvel production, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that it does well and there will be many more. Did you stay until after the credits to see the little "Easter Egg" at the end? A lot of people were very excited about that. We saw the premiere a week ago in London and it was cut from all the preview screenings so we missed it, but we'll go and see the general release as I think it's worth it.

Thanks so much for the kind words about the design, it's brilliant that it has been so well received :) It's really hard for Adi and I to judge any of it because he's so close to it all and I'm going to be biased (obviously)!

Your new business cards look great, by the way. Hope you have a wicked time in Bristol at the weekend! Adi and I aren't going, but Lisa (the main lady in charge of Thought Bubble) will be there letting people know about the event. I hope you all manage to drink the bar dry again ;P x

Yep, we stayed for the after credits sequence- it's all over the comics messageboards so it was kinda hard to avoid being spoilered but it was still quite wierd seeing Mr Jackson playing that role. Rob reckons Kurt Russell would have been perfect for that instead :)

I saw the article on Adi's design work in the latest issue of Imagine FX as well. I assume that, now Marvel are doing their own films, they'll be drawing alot on their own talent pool for the design work, etc. Hope that means more film work for Adi!

Thanks for the compliment on the cards- I recieved them over a week ago and I have to admit that they look even better in print. Pity you two won't be at Bristol (I'll be wearing loads of Lippy as usual ;p)but we'll certainly have a go at draining the bar- if the bar staff look as if they need a month's holiday by Sunday then you know we've done well ;p

Having not realized the film was so long, I actually need the toilet and so couldn't wait for the credits to end! However, I'd spotted him listed on the IMDB. I think the only true actor for that role is David Hasselhoff, and he's already had it! He he.
